ARMS funding a field trip to Peoria Riverfront Museum (February 28, 2013)
ARMS ( Absolute Risk Management Strategies) will be funding a joint field trip to the Peoria Riverfront Museum for Harrison elementary school's entire 4th grade class along with Farmington elementary schools entire 4th grade class. ARMS will be paying for all expenses for both schools. The motive here is that both schools ( one urban and one rural ) will share learning experiences and perhaps develop pen pal relationships as well as teacher networking opportunities . The Children will enjoy the exhibits offered by the museum as well as a movie and or a planetarium show. Harrison has approximately 125 students and Farmington has approximately 80 students attending this field trip. CEO Kelly Petersen hopes that his example will encourage several business and community leaders to sponsor similar collaborative field trips with urban and rural schools, especially some of the vendors and contractors who helped build the museum project.
